About the Dockhouse

The Dockhouse Restaurant was established in 1978. The Dockhouse, as the locals call it, has been serving the folks in Beaufort, North Carolina on the beautiful waterfront over looking Taylor's Creek for over 30 years.

The Dockhouse is a well known spot for listening to live music in Carteret County. Check out our music calendar for events on our boardwalk or in our newly renovated upstairs lounge.

If you are looking for a cool place to eat you have found the spot. Dine inside or out on our patio overlooking the wild ponies on Carrot Island and the Rachel Carlson Reserve across Taylor's Creek.

What has been said about the Dockhouse:

"My favorite place in the world is called the Dock House. It’s been there since before I was born. And it has live music, right there on the dock. It’s an old, white, two-story house that was converted years ago to this restaurant. So you can sit upstairs or downstairs, overlooking the boats, listening to the live music, and having great seafood.

"...always great live entertainment on tap!"

"A local favortite the Dockhouse is a unique place offering good food at a fair price, friendly atmosphere, strong drinks, and a helpful staff. The live music was wonderful also. The view was priceless and the people we met there were true characters. The best stop on our trip."
